Mindfulness and Authentic Leadership at Work

Startup life can be rough. We get pushed to the emotional edge. Sometimes the lows are very low indeed. What can we do to foster well-being, performance and joy in our companies? In Silicon Valley, over 1,800 people came to the Wisdom 2.0 conference to have this conversation. This is a chance to have it here in Boston.

I will be facilitating this conversation with Matthew Bellows, Founder and CEO of Yesware at the upcoming MassTLC Innovation2013 Conference

5 Week Class: Meditation in Everyday Life

  • Shambhala Meditation Center (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

Throughout history, people have aspired to create societies that express the dignity of human existence within a wise, flourishing culture. This is the vision of Shambhala - and the path towards creating that is meditation. Contemplative practices bring a natural sense of goodness, fearlessness, and humor into our ordinary lives.

This is the first course in a series, The Way of Shambhala, which provides a strong foundation in mindfulness-awareness meditation. This series is designed to be applied to the complexity of our daily lives, and to develop courage and sanity in these troubled times of uncertainty. The Way of Shambhala series offers a structured path of meditation and an introduction to all that Shambhala offers. It also offers a glimpse of the Shambhala vision of enlightened society by emphasizing the ways in which meditation can impact our daily lives, and from there how the sanity of meditation can expand to impact our whole society.

The Meditation in Everyday Life class is the beginning of the Way of Shambhala and is a five week course designed to provide students with the introductory tools and teachings for working with meditation in everyday life.
